Love with 2 Ladies...
It was now 30 minutes that I was waiting in that showroom… with AC breezing at full speed on a Sunday Afternoon it was a perfect setup to go for an Afternoon Siesta; but hey I was there for more important stuff. Finally decided to speak (5th time) to the Lady who was in front of me and was continuously talking on Phone…
Mam – “I am getting late?” and she started crying… Now no matter how many resources you have handled in project or defused crisis situations at work place – a crying lady is something a Man is never prepared to handle. Let’s accept it It’s not in our DNA… we don’t see logic in most of the reasons for which they Cry and they just wonder why we need to have a Logic at first place… So it’s a catch 22 situation you see. Coming back to the Sunday Crying Lady - I tried my best to calm her down and offer water which was kept for me but she just walked away… Now that’s not how a Customer Relationship officer is supposed to behave but then every day is not a Sunday you see J
So where was I and who is this crying lady…? Just imagine if this has been a Daily Soap Opera the serial would have ended here and viewers would have got disappointed ki “ohhh Ab kal dekhna padega seral ki agye kya hua…” But this is a Blog and there is no suspense mechanical at work here…
But ya this is indeed a flashback and I am referring to incident which happened in Jan 2008; I was at Car Showroom to take delivery of my first car; one of the important milestone of my life and the Customer rep who was supposed to handover keys to me was upset with his Boyfriend and I was waiting for her to finish her call…
Finally after 45 minutes she handover the keys to me with tears in her eyes… Now I am not sure how many will consider this a good omen or not but I was happy that finally I got my first car… Yeeeeee” I thanked her and made a dash out of showroom…
Car (she) was indeed lucky for me… from a novice to expert driver I have got lots of good memories with her My both little monsters came to home 1st time in this car; weekend outings; daily office; dropping some special one’s; chit chat sessions in car’s; long drives, small fights and what not…. You are free to imagine ;).
It became part of my life slowly and never ever threw tantrum at me… it was a constant companion and whole family and kids were attached to it. Like her golden colour she was very much golden in her charms and used to make head turns in her initial years. Time flew and soon she was 8 years old… young at heart – thanks god she didn’t needed any anti-ageing cream… she aged with grace. Finally it was time to upgrade it with her elder sister from i10 to Xcent…
Letting her go was not easy as I was attached to it but you have to let things go… I remember that when his new owner drove her away; Parv was upset that “Papa wo uncle apni car kyo le gaye…” but soon his disappointment vanished when he saw the new Red Love of Life – Xcent with her Passion Red colour was love at first sight in showroom… who says Love at first sight don’t happen twice J…
It’s amazing how you get attached to Non Living things… seems attachment does not differentiate; sorry if you are relating to Outlook attachments – if yes take a Sick leave tomorrow; you need a break J
And ya this time I got my keys on time with smile on customer rep face… who don’t like smile - it’s the most beautiful curve your body has ;) wat say?
